Results

This graph depicts the result values for Apache and Lighttpd for each test.  The columns in blue are from the first test server running Apache, and the columns in red are from the second test server running lighttpd. 

This test clearly indicates Lighttpd's supremacy over Apache in rendering Joomla.  In the closest test, Lighttpd is still 92% faster than Apache.  Through these tests, Lighttpd was an average of 94% faster than Apache at serving the same content (with the same settings. 

Conclusion?

I'll let you draw your own conclusions from this...
