This is a review of the popular "Yellow Pages" component for Joomla.

Total Score: 90 points - Platinum Award!

Performance - 18 points -

This component does excellent in the performance arena.  It's fast and doesn't put an undue strain on the database.

Extensibility - 10 points -

This is where this component really shines.  You can modify almost everything about it to make it do what you want without ever touching code!  

Usability - 12 points -

Here, is where the component is really lacking.  While it's easy to change everything about the component, figuring out what to change is a PITA.  Not to mention that the defualt fields can't be deleted.

Expandability - 10 points -

This component makes managing a large directory seem easy.  The admin section for items and categories is seemlessly integrated making managing items truely easy.

Stability - 10 points -

The component itself is stable.  This does not include 3pd extensions (stability unknown).

Community Support - 10 points -

The development team takes an active roll in keeping the component (and addons) well maintained. 

License - 10 points - GNU/GPL

Usefullness - 10 points -

This one is hard to NOT need (weather or not you realize you need it).  It's so flexable that you don't realize what you can do with it until you try!
