Well, it's all come together nicely! JoomlaPerformance.com is proud to
announce 3 major releases today!
The first release (which has been overdue for some time), is PageCache
1.0.9. This release fixes many minor bugs (and a few rare, but major
bugs) within the system.
The next release is PageCache 2.0.0 Stable! It's finally ready for
production use! This version fixes the JomComment reset issue that has
been plaguing many users for some time now.
Finally, comes the first Release Candidate of QueryCache (for both 1.0 and
1.5 versions of Joomla). There are more fixes and changes in this
than I can list here, but it’s safe to say this should be much more
stable now.
There you have it! Enjoy, and as always, let me know if you have any
problems (and also let me know if you don’t)! Thanks, Anthony Ferrara (ircmaxell) Discuss this article on the forums. (8 posts) |

This is a feature version, not a maintance release. Included in this version is the ability to not only include php, but also javascript and html!!! Check it out in the downloads section (or see the FAQ for more info).

Well, let me start off by saying this. Query cache will most likely NOT reduce the time it takes for your page to load. With that said, what it does do, is reduce the load put on your server. Benchmarks can show a lot of things, but what I wanted was real world data. One of the sites I run (BagsOfCrap - For All Things Woot) gets EXTREEME amounts of traffic, but only about one to three days per month. What a perfect real world benchmark to see how good QueryCache is... |

Well, it's out! This should be the final Beta of the QueryCache component! All major (and from what I can tell most minor) bugs have been rectified. There are still a few minor issues, but they will be handled before the next release, and should not effect more than 1 or 2 sites (specific component combinations).

Well, here it is. With any luck, the final release candidate for PageCache 2.0! The bug fixes are too long to list (there is a partial list in the admin section). Use the integrated upgrader in 2.0 to upgrade! If all goes well, 2.0 Stable should be out in about 2 weeks or so.
