Improving Joomla's Queries 2009/06/29 13:37 Karma: 0
Are these queries from Improving Joomla's Queries still good to run on Joomla 1.5? I used them in an earlier version of Joomla, but not since migrating to 1.5.

Code:

 ALTER TABLE `jos_categoriesADD INDEX `title_id` (`title`,`id`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_componentsADD INDEX `opt_par` (`option`, `parent`, `id`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_componentsADD INDEX `admin_opt` (`admin_menu_link`, `option`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_contentADD INDEX `state_access` ( `state` , `access` , `publish_up` , `publish_down` , `id` , `catid` , `sectionid` , `created_by` );  ALTER TABLE `jos_core_acl_aroADD INDEX `val_aro_id` (`value`, `aro_id`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_core_acl_aro_groupsADD INDEX `name_lft_rgt` (`name`, `lft`, `rgt`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_mambotsADD INDEX `fold_acc` ( `folder`, `access`, `published`, `ordering`, `element`, `params`(20));  ALTER TABLE `jos_mambotsADD INDEX `element` ( `element` );  ALTER TABLE `jos_menuADD INDEX `link_id` (`link`(30), `id`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_menuADD INDEX `link_pub_id` (`link`(30), `published`, `id`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_menuADD INDEX `pub_acc_menu` (`published`, `access`, `menutype`, `parent`,`ordering`, `id`, `name`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_sectionsADD INDEX `id,acc,pub` (`id`, `access`, `published`, `name`(20));  ALTER TABLE `jos_sectionsADD INDEX `pub_acc_id` (`published`,`access`,`id`,`name`(20));  ALTER TABLE `jos_stats_agentsADD INDEX `agent_type` (`agent`,`type`,`hits`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_templates_menuADD INDEX `client_menu` (`client_id`, `menuid`, `template`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_template_positionsADD INDEX `pos` (`position`);  ALTER TABLE `jos_usersADD INDEX `user_pass_id` (`username`,`password`,`id`);

Hi,sorry to bump, but I have the same question. Do they make sense in 1.5 or the current indexes
structure is enough, or another set of complimentary indexes are recommended?

Tks for this great resource!!

Is that code the new version or a tweak of Joomla's newest modification?
